Finders, such as organizations or occasionally private individuals, can register a found item on the platform. People who have lost something can then instantly see what has been found.
Is your item listed? Great! You can submit a claim.
In your claim, describe your item as specifically as possible so the finder can verify the details and confirm you as the rightful owner. All steps and updates will be shared with you by email.
Please note:
*iLost does not hold or manage any physical lost and found items. iLost cannot answer specific questions about items registered on the platform. Only the finder, the person or organization who registered the found item can answer your questions via the item claim chat-window and determine whether you are the rightful owner.
**Submitting loss reports on the platform is not possible, because with the affiliated organizations you can already check independently whether your item has been found. If your item is not listed on the organization’s iLost page, simply keep an eye on the page over the next few days, newly found items may still be added. You can only submit a loss report if the relevant organization has made this form available on their iLost page.
